A Trek to Shrine Hills from Maa

We often times look for a place to go to or simply just do an adventurous thing to do. Doing the same thing for a long period of time is monotony a Sysiphean activity of a lifestyle. To break the monotony of life we do things which are spontaneous, unconstrained to the four corners of the colorlessness, humdrum and flatness of a Sysiphean lifestyle.

It only took a few text messages away and off we go. A first time, spur of the moment planning, thats what you call spontaneous. Before the guys came over to my humble abode. I try to picture out and remember the trail( I used to walk on this trail when I was still in high school). I was trying to elicit the remaining memories of the trail that i used to traverse. The guys arrived and so we took off, a last minute decision, packed our gears and went for a trek. Yup, you read it right, we went for a trek. Trekking and MMA, hmmm its sound different but sounds fun. A short but arduous hike from the place where I lived to the known historical spot here in Davao City, Shrine Hills. These are some of the pics that we took. Enjoy.

Steep and arduous trail going to the top.

Indeed we have time to have our photos taken.

Halfway to the top, looking at the panoramic view of Davao City

Finally the long trek is over and we reach our goal..

A perfect time to smile and pose.

Yes, and you thought that we will forget training...no way!

On the way down, we just cannot resist but try to kick the banana tree and get the feel...

Jump or grab the vines....

Going down was fun. After the activity, we were able to spice up a new component of being fit and have a sense of satisfaction that we were able to do such endeavor. Till next time, what comes in our mind, we will do it!!
