Davao has a rich heritage of Warriors "baganis", lumads who fought for their freedom, who fought for their people.

To name a few:

Datu Balingan, who defended the Mansaka and Mandaya tribes in Davao Oriental from the hands of the Spanish official Captain Uyanguren. Datu Bago of the Bagobo tribe fought Captain Uyanguren in Davao City.

Its the 21st Century and still the Blood of a Warrior lives, burns and runs in the veins of the Dabawenyos. They are our local martial arts practitioners who honed their craft by hard core training, intense discipline, and unwavering perseverance.

And thru this competition our local amateur martial artists will be able to showcase their skills. Thru this event, we will be able to have a rebirth, bringing to life the warrior spirit within our local scene.
