anderson could have finished mia in the first round, but he was not able to do so, why? probly because that he is to confident of his stand up, yeh yeh i give it to him, he is rearly good or really great at what he does, but man he plays around, clowns around to much, probly the reason he gassed out. what a waste of pay per view.

Paolo Miguel Mabanglo hmm.. he got the "attitude".He wants action inside the octagon. Sliva is confident not cocky. However, his confidence is exaggerated.
Joachim Milana Silva got cocky in the fight, maybe that's his game plan or whatever. He was saying at the post-fight interview that Maia disrespected him, but i don't know, he should have showed some class inside the cage.

Anderson Silva is the UFC's most dominate striker. I find it amusing that the UFC continues to struggle to find competent opponents. Travis Lutter exposed weaknesses in the Spider's game, that Dan Henderson was unable to duplicate. The UFC has picked predominate grapplers with limited striking capabilities, or "brawlers" lacking the "technical" ability to compete against The Spider. I believe Chael Sonnen has the tools needed to deal with the Champion. As far as Anderson Silva's inability to finish--and his "showboating" antics, I really think it's just a case of loosing interest in the fight--and not wanting to engage "World Champion Grapplers" on the ground. Stand up and get KO'd like a man :)

I think that Silva won the fight without having to do much fighting. It might not be nice or respectful to showboat like that, but if it breaks your oponent mentaly, the why not? It is not like beating someone unconsious is very nice in the first place.
Malik Arash Mawlayi: Like a fighter i always liked Silva and his style kind of remind me of myself when i saw his fights. And thought he was a rally cool and calm fighter.
Demian has been to my Old gym and had seminars In Sweden couple of times and i also met him as a guest in Art Of War 12 in Bejing, such a kind person.
After that fight between them in UFC i really lost my respect for Andersson Silva. What more to say

Well, ok, he was a bit of smart ass, but...he is the defending champ that cant be dethrowned, I think smart ass attitude was to provoke Damian to throw down and give him a fight, fact is Anderson is levels above anyone that has been in with him.
people are saying, why didnt he go on the ground and finish Damian? fact is ,its mma, not a submission wrestling competition ,IF you were the undisputed several time champ, would you put yourself into Damian’s game and face loosing all you have earned?
would be foolish. silva is the greatest in the division but not unbeatable, someone will come along and give him a serious fight.
