UFC 140 Post Fight Interviews...

Post Fight Interviews, a fighters perspective on how they felt during and after the fight.

FIGHT OF THE NIGHT went to Jones and Machida, this was the time that Jones faced a different kind of fighter and he did admit that he had a hard time figuring out Machida during the first round. The second round was the time that his confidence was boosted after he hit Machida with an elbow, when they were on the ground.

At first, I was not happy with how Mir broke Big Nog's arms. However, looking back at things, there is no way the Big Nog would submit. No way, with his Brazilian pride and being a legend. Hence, Mir's mind set was right, if he wont tap he got to do to do what he is supposed to do. I remembered watching the fight between Sakuraba and Renzo Gracie, and Renzo was caught deep with, also a Kimura but he did not tap. Post fight, Renzo admitted that he would never tap despite of how tight and unescable it was...that's the pride that I am referring about for the Legend Noguiera. He wont Tap so what else would Mir do? if it were a guillotine or RNC Big NOg would be sleeping but its an arm lock....and boom its a snap.

MIR got the Submission of the Night. Probably the submission of the Century, given it was done to a Legend.

Moral of the story for practitioners, please do TAP, this is a career ender especially for upcoming fighters.

and KNOCK OUT OF THE NIGHT went to the Korean Zombie....7 seconds a good counter. And indeed it was very frustrating for Hominick..fastest knock out in UFC history. Man its in the books now. Hominick got to pray that Brock will be knocked out in 5 seconds to erase that record ha ha ha....

Peace Everyone :)
